Indian Air Force (IAF) has released the official notification for Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) 02/2026 Batch. A total of 142 vacancies have been announced for Flying Branch, Ground Duty Technical and Ground Duty Non-Technical Branches. Eligible graduates, engineers and NCC candidates can apply online from 20 May 2026 to 19 June 2026. AFCAT is one of the most prestigious defence entry examinations for candidates aspiring to become commissioned officers in the Indian Air Force.

AFCAT Entry Flying Bachelor Degree in any stream with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level OR B.E. / B.Tech degree.
AFCAT Entry Ground Duty Technical (AE-L) 10+2 with minimum 60% marks in Physics and Mathematics and 4-year Engineering/Technology Degree or Integrated PG Degree in relevant Aeronautical Electronics disciplines.
AFCAT Entry Ground Duty Technical (AE-M) 10+2 with minimum 60% marks in Physics and Mathematics and 4-year Engineering/Technology Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent disciplines.
AFCAT Entry Administration & Logistics Bachelor Degree in any stream with minimum 60% marks.
AFCAT Entry Accounts B.Com Degree with minimum 60% marks.
AFCAT Entry Physical Standards Height: Male 157.5 CMS | Female 152 CMS
NCC Special Entry Flying NCC Air Wing Senior Division 'C' Certificate and fulfillment of Flying Branch eligibility criteria.
Meteorology Entry Meteorology Candidates should check detailed qualification requirements in the official notification.
GATE Score Entry Ground Duty Technical Relevant Engineering Degree and valid GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) qualification.
