KPSC KAS Selection Process 2026

As per the official notification, the KPSC KAS Gazetted Probationers Recruitment 2026 selection process has two examination stages followed by an interview:

• Preliminary Examination: An objective-type (MCQ) screening test comprising two papers. Marks scored in the Prelims are used only to shortlist candidates for the Mains they are not counted in the final merit. Candidates are admitted to Mains in a ratio of 1:15 against notified vacancies, category-wise.
• Main Examination: A descriptive written test consisting of seven papers two qualifying language papers (Kannada and English) and five compulsory papers (Essay and General Studies I-IV).
• Personality Test (Interview): Candidates are called for interview in a ratio of 1:3 against notified vacancies, based on Mains merit, category-wise. The interview carries 25 marks.
